Not my build.

When I saw this developing diorama, I immediately felt it would be a great pity if some of the breathtaking masterpieces would be hidden from current audience. So, a few pictures of the progress of the build. More to come.

These U-Boats under construction certainly is something special. I remember seeing as a child the bombed/blasted building places across the Kiel fjord (Kieler Förde) when visiting my grandparents there in the late 1950s early 1960s.

Not sure, at what year the scene is set, but during the war lights would have been dimmed at lot and portholes would have been closed when lights were lit inside the ship. There have been allied air raids on Kiel since July 1940.
