Ok you started it Nektarios. Here is RRS Earnest Shackleton in 1/700. This is a 3D printed model I bought from Shapeways. The designer goes by Shipshape. More to come.

A view of the workbench: Two Vanguard class SSBNs are very close to enter service. The other ships are Orange Hobby Dokdo, Juan Carlos I, Canbera, HMS Ocean, Big Blue Boy F-100 class, NNT Type 122,123 and 124, Whidbey Island LSDs and some other Japanese coast guard ships.

Almost done this one. Just needs rigging. This is 1/700 HMAS Tobruk. This is an all 3D model. The ship was bought from Shapeways by designer Dutch fleet miniatures. The LCM8 are by Mini and beyond and the Unimogs and trucks are by Kokoda trails models. I think it came out pretty good and I love unusual subjects.

It came out very nice Bob. Shapeways gives you the opportunity to find rare subjects that most plastic or resin companies won t produce.

Some pictures of Dodo models K-130 corvette. One of the best models i ve ever built. Extensive PE, very detailed kit especially cosidering its small size. Ten years ago i couldn t dream that someone would produce a kit of this quality. I just need to take better and closer pics of the kit.

Nice Build Nektarios, Yes the detail these days is unbelievable, and will only get better.

Happy Modeling

Very nice work on Dodo's K-130 Nektarios, can I make a suggestion for your Canberra colour, I see you are using Tamiya so if you mix XF-12 with XF-14 that will get you pretty close to the Storm grey colour used by the Aussie Navy.

You are right that Dodos models are beautiful, The Armidale class patrol boats are little gems and I am hanging out for the Anzac class frigates they have planned.

Heres my 3 Armidales. My flags are to big but I don't have any smaller Aussie Flags and I wanted them there.

Yes I am a bit obsessed with RAN ships, good fun though
Cheers

John, I can t believe that the detail can get any better than that.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have the WEM Australian navy colors (bought it 10 years ago). This will be sufficient for Canberra Armidale and the Dodo models Meko-200 (future release).
