1/96 scale Plug of HMS Exeter .

Cut a notch in each bulkhead were the knuckle is and inlayed piano wire in it . That will keep the knuckle strait and crisp while sanding .

Looks very good, Richard! And the knuckle you kept very crisp, very characteristic for those British cruisers. :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

That is looking really impressive. I have had two attempts at the hull in 1/96th for HMS York, having ordered the Maritime Museum plans, which arrived in both 1/96th and 1/48th. Both constructions failed miserably. I have the superstructure nigh on complete, and even worked out the gearing for rotating the 8 inch turrets, but no hull. As this is a plug, will this be available to purchase as a fibreglass hull in future?

This is an excellent idea-- as so much valuable info has been lost from many threads because of image hosting banditry!

The model is looking very good in its initial stages, the metal edge to the hull- knuckle is also a good one! :thumbs_up_1:

I shall be following this !
