And it would still be cheap for me.

Wouldn't be the first time I holed up in an attic space. Just need that a-c and a hammock.

Made an addition to the back work surface - a slide in/out shelf for extra space:

This was made using spare wood and left-overs. The shelf is a piece of made-up pine board 24"x15" (+/-) with 1x3 & 1x2 pieces for the slides. I put wooden stops in the back and then small metal shelf pegs as stops to keep it from coming all the way out. Works pretty well! With the work surface being 25" deep, I would have made the shelf deeper, but this piece was available, so that's how it came about.
