After a very long trip to winged things, I finished my 1/144 P-36 at Pearl Harbor, and looked around my stash. What shall I do?
At my slow build pace due to kids and work, I decided it would be something easier. A shake and bake kit, which I would however superdetail. I was very excited to see the Flyhawk doing several RN destroyers, and also IBG bringing new ones. I could not decide which of them is to start with. Thus I decided to go with these twin build, and place them on common base. The timespan I decided upon is the
One destroyer will be the Jervis. This will be an FH kit of HMS Kelly Deluxe with slight modifications. Jervis was actually a much more deserved ship, and had 13 battle honors, most at RN during WW2 (shared with similarily little known HMS Orion and HMS Nubian). She sported nice 507A/507C camo, and was the leader of 14th DF. She is planned mainly OOB, except the crew and some minor details from my PE parts box.
Another will be HMS Ilex. I would be utilizing the IBG's kits of Garland, Glowworm and Ithuriel to get the right fit. Luckily, the IBG kits are designed to mix and match parts to get the right config

She also had the 507A/507C pattern, and the only change from as built was the cut down main mast and some splinter shields around guns. I will also go with mainly OOB here, except for the gun shields from either WEM E-class or Five Star E-class set, flyhawk brass barrels, and flyhawk PE 0.5 Quad Vickers.
I would place them in a seascape inside a T-Case showcase, which is 227x118x83 mm. As usual, I would make a small 3d printed socket which I would install on top of showcase's base, laminate it all around with wood, add a brass name shield, and make the seascape on top.
