found the 2 rear cables too thick....so re-did them...added a few extra's like a home made hook(cupper wire) and some more lines...also on front mast
now I posted them...enlarged them...saw they need some fine tuning (paint wise)
not sure if I will re-paint dark grey the ladder going to top deck bridge...what do you all think?...leave it that way...or dark grey

these specially made PE railings are extremely difficult to handle....not for beginners at all ...it took me at least twice the time as with the other regular railings...one side is fully placed
now other half...a few details...a few riggings.....and she's done....

I considered it...but...
the yellow colour makes it show
on the ships they often had covers to protect them from bad weather and seawater corrosion so when not used....not yellow because of cover
in use ...the yellow sticks out and peeps see them better and don fall or have accidents with them....
thats my reasoning behind if correct or not....but mainly...I wanted them visible...the whole thing is so dark lol

A few days ago I started a new USS Somers, this time it will be the TB 22 so the one before the 4 stacker.
The ship was build in Germany by Ferdinand Schichau, Elbing as private invest and Sold to the US in 1898.
she was active in diverse services untill 1919 to be scraped in 1920.
she lost her name though in 1914 ... it was to be given to the Clemson class DD 301 and got a new name Coast Torpedo Boat No. 9 untill scraped

I'll build the ship scale 1/240 so she fits to my DD 301 and she will be totaly scratch build... as there is no kit repesenting these type of ships
