I want to showcase the ship on a wooden base, so I'll build it as a full Hull.

I melted the solid humbrol putty with using cellulosic thinner and revell glue to make the hull. I cut out plastic sprue pieces and filled them in between.

I guess you already have this book? : https://ak-interactive.com/product/mode ... res-class/
You will like to know that most of the pictures in this number were made by me in March 2007, on board F74 Asturias, the last frigate of my former 31st. Squadron still active at that moment. The whole photo album contents a total of ca. 300 high quality pics, taken in every possible corner of the ship, and definitely from a modelers point of view. Thats the reason why I was requested to release them for publication in this magazine.marijn van gils wrote: I guess you already have this book? : https://ak-interactive.com/product/mode ... res-class/

Very nice work by the way!
I think I have seen one of these ships around 2008-2010 showing the flag in front of Ka?, but I'm not sure. Is that possible?
Cheers,

Hi Rick.Rick_H wrote:Thanks for the great inspiration with your build here. I served on USS Stein FF-1065 in 1987-89. I still haven't gotten up the courage to attempt a build of this 1/700 kit. I appreciate seeing your techniques, although I don't do full-hull models like yours.
It looks to me that you are only using generic photo-etch - nothing made specifically for this ship. Is that correct?

Many thanks Kubilay!Kubilay wrote:Hi Marjin,
If you have the opportunity to visit the museum in the future, there is also the Balao class submarine TCG Pirireis and the German Jaguar class torpedo fast attack craft TCG Kas?rga in the museum site.
In those years, only TCG Muavenet and TCG Zafer were in service in the Turkish navy, and their base was Aksaz Naval Base near Ka?. She is probably one of those two ships.
Best regards.

Thank you so much, I'm using generic handrail, ladder PE sets and scrap Photo etches in hand.lascar22 wrote:Nice job !!!!!!!!!!
