I will be kitbashing the 1/350 Hobby Boss USS Arizona into the USS Idaho BB-42 using plans given to me and images of a 1/700 model, both of which were sourced from the forum and gallery.

Hey David, sorry it took so long to reply. I started with a mock up to see where I'm at with the hull.  Next, I had to make a working set of drawings. I used a light box and cut, aligned and taped the 8 1/2 x 11 copies from my printer.  Now, all I needed was to correct to 1/350 scale.   Now comes the hard part, I will need to correct the shape of the hull using the line drawings shown here.  Thanks again David for the download. More to follow... |

Looking good. You do not see many models of the New Mexico Class. I do like their clipper bow. Looking forward to seeing your build progress. |

I would say since the hull case mates ended aft of Turret 1 on the New Mexico class vs just ahead on the Pennsylvania class, he’s on the right track to make the necessary adjustments. Eagerly watching to see more, Matt |
