Hi!
I didn't abandon the project, but the last few months were not easy.. I bought a house last year, I started what could be renovated, I had to do a lot of things myself because the money ran out and I didn't have time for almost anything...
Well, a little progress: I put up the railings made of wire fiber in a circle on the superstructure, and the wooden decoration on the edge of the roof was also made of wire fiber. At the very top, the imitation of the wooden railing is still missing. I painted the windows, and in the first part, based on the photos, small openings or windows were added (I don't know what their purpose is).
The front closed railing (?) of the boat deck was also built, which also received stiffeners on the inner side from pulled wire. Even here, the upper part of the wooden railing is missing, and I didn't even install the small braces under the deck.
I imitated the glazing of the row of windows on the bridge with 3D lacquer, the method has already worked well for me on the Titanic and the Olympic. Here, I still have to make up for the design of the closed wheelhouse, this was left behind.
In 1907 the Verandah Cafe was still fully open towards the stern and of course you can see in there. Based on the photos, 6 tables have already been completed there, but only 2 chairs... I am cutting and bending these from a split ladder etching, it is progressing quite slowly. I glued a few strips of paper to imitate the carpet on the deck, and also the missing columns. I printed a nicely constructed imitation on paper for the inside of the walls, which ultimately didn't make sense, because the printer only displayed spots after the reduction... it's barely visible anyway. Benches were fixed to the walls, I will put this up as well, I found a piece of Yamato etching that fits here that was left out
