I cannot remember having seen a yorktown being build before many times but this one looks very neat. A nice job overall. I may have missed it in the pages but do you already know what kind of scheme you will paint her in?

The ship will br painted with different shades of Navy Blue and Greys..l'll try to have different color modulation and have a weathered look...
She will be in a diorama hours after the Battle of Coral Sea

Dear all here is today's update...just made the 2 platforms for the 5 inch guns....well just found out that there are huge gaps sooo..more work to fix that...enjoy...

Thank you TOMLABEL and Neptune..l placed the 2 platforms...and the elevator pit...l tried some dark colors that will be a good base for the airbrushing..l noticed some imperfection that l will correct..enjoy

Dear all today it was removing and adding putty to have more sharp lines and edges..plus l placed the plarform for the internal auxiliary catapults...enjoy

Most impressed by your skill and talent. If I may ask, how are you intending to approach the painting? Will you shoot a base color and mask? Seems like a major challenge to mask off so many tiny and fragile parts. Just interested in learning from your your methods.

Dear Timothy thank you for your comment and sorry for the late reply..l took a break for a while..the paint will start soon as l will paint step by step using indeed masks
