Glad I'm not the only one afflicted with that ailment! Nice work. What colors are you using for the hulls/superstructures?

Wouldn't know about that problem... *glances over at his desk of two finished works and seven under process* nope, not a clue... *whistles and toddles off*

And the HP uss colorado a very nice resin kit.At this stage i have just painted the first layer of the camo scheme on the sides of the hull plus the main deck.Micro corrections are to follow on the camo lines and then is the weathering before proceeding to the superstructure.

Finishing up the boats and the masts.I have a few gaps in my references as to the painting of the masts, and the main crane. All the photos i have seen so far i couldn't made up my mind as to whether the masts above the funnel height are all black or not(front and rear) so i am guessing a bit as i proceed .Also i am in need of some close ups so i can add smaller details as i want to super detail as much as possible.

Second attempt to make the rear awing this morning made out of slightly thicker glossy paper which unlike normal paper holds firm when painted with acrylics and doesn't wrinkles .Also finished pretty much everything else except the rigging and a few more crew figures to put around.

Hi Angeleys, Its a nice build on IRON DUKE but I think they did away with the boat next to the rear mast when the mast was fitted, unless you have a photo that I have not got of that section, ron h :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

prop you are right.I am using as references a few photos that are simply not close enough or from the angles i would like to.Its amazing how difficult it is to find descent close ups of the iron duke.I only have this close up on the middle section which is helpful but in the wrong direction. As for the boat ,well now its in place and i like it a lot although probably wrong but i can live with that.If you do have some close ups of the ship can you share them please as i want to add smaller details but i am afraid i will keep guessing if i work with just what i have.

according to the combrig instructions in a 1918 fit.By the way in their instructions sheet they show the boat to be still there.
