I recently got the ISW SCB-27A Essex and decided to make it into the CV-39 Lake Champlain circa 1956 with CVG-6. This is what I have so far. I still need PE railings and decals for both the ship and airgroup. I am going to get an extra set of CV-36 Antietam decals for the ship and I got the CVA-41 Decal set from Starfighter Decals for
CVG-6. I got a 4 sets of Pitroads West Wing 2 aircraft to get the F-86/FJ-3 Fury's and the WEM AJ-2 Savages from Starfighter decals as well. The F2H Banshee's are from DML's supplement sets and I am going to use the Fujimi AD-6's.

I liked the shot of your JFK alongside your Soviet Navy. I think it is time to post it as a work in progress!!

Mark, Another great looking ship. It makes me want to get a Dragon Essex and do an early 1943 carrier.

Hi Gordon,

I recomend the DML kits. Except for the saga of the missing yardarms ( another post) they are very good kits. I have a 1943 Essex sitting waiting for her airgroup.
