That must have been a pain to waterline. Nice work on the container stacks - that really improves the look. |

So far i have cut away at random shapes the container stacks , to give a more realistic look .Obviously they will be painted a variety of colors not just orange which the Revell instructions suggest.Thinking of putting it under tow from a couple of tugs. Looks great man! Suggestion, if she's under tow, how about having her damaged and listing? Maybe she was in a convoy to Europe and ate a torpedo? If you don't want to do that, how about a grounding scene? Could have several tugs all around kicking up all kinds of water trying to break her lose from a shoal or sand bar? I've never seen either and your dio skills would make either really awesome! Just my $0.02. |

FYI - Revell produces a brass set for this kit (mostly railings) that may help. It's tough to find in the US however - I ended up getting one off of eBay. |

Looks very nice. Maybe the following pictures can be an inspiration for presenting the finished kit. I especially the reflection of the container stack in the mud of the Scheldt estuary. It was taken last year in the "Nauw van Bath", 10 km east from where I grew up. Attachment: Attachment: Nauwvanbath3.JPG [ 33.98 KiB | Viewed 2650 times ] Attachment:

Well i finished pretty much the hull.I am in a limbo as far as the railings on the arches between the containers as most it wont be visible once the containers are on.Still some work on the bridge to be done. Some slight weathering was done on the hull just to break up the long black hull, and make it visually more interesting.

Outstanding! What color did you use for the deck/hatches/etc.? Great color match. |

>>>Nice work on the container stacks - that really improves the look.<<< totally concur! I saw a very large container ship enetering southampton today Intriguingly they had stacjked the conatiners in a slope going down fwd--I guess for visibility rather than hydrodynamics...? If the waves are that high..... they have other issues? JIM B |
