This is the "old" 1/700 Hasegawa ISE BB/CV and Pit Roads Ariake DD....first 1/700 build for me. Its also the first "water base" dio i've ever done. Its made with clear silicone caulk and coloured with Acrylic art tube paints.
Both vessels still need flags and completion of the PE rails and such. I thought I would post this to see if you guys think I have potential for 1/700...I know neither ship is totally accurate and such,..but I'd appreciate any feedback you may have....good or bad!

Thanx Mike! For me the water was very easy even for a first time'r.....now the PE in this scale is a nightmare for me ...its just so petite. Separating it from the pe fret/sheet is the worst part. Even when/if I can see the attachment points,..I cant always make the cut. Too dang small for most blades.

The PE applications look neatly done, and the overall appearance seems crisp. The water is very good; I've yet to attempt it.

I think you should go all in.

Thank you fellas!

My 53 y/o eyes are having trouble with the plastic parts..you know seam scraping, sanding and such...what looks ok to the eye,..looks not so good when photographed..all the buggers show up. Now the PE is the worst part....so delicate and small.
I do use an optivisor my wife recently bought for me. That was/is a life saver!

Mostly I airbrush all paint and only brush the details and touch-ups.
As for going all in,..I do have in the stash a San-Fran 42 a Baltimore 44 CLV 22 Belleau Wood A CL52 Juneau a Cleveland and a Dragon Bismark. I had intended on swapping or selling off the kits as I mainly try to build larger scale,...but after you guys have agreed with what my C&C says...I might just try my luck with them.

Thank you much for the compliments...they were a much needed encouragement!
