I am interested in buying this book as reference for my Lindberg Fletcher build. (I've given up on using photographs acquired from the Internet, as they are for so many different ships, in different configurations, that my model is going to end up an inaccurate jumble of about 8 different ships!). I already have the Floating Drydock publication on USS Kidd, but the plans in this aren't really large + detailed enough for my needs and are also of the ship in late-war configuration, I'm intending on building a mid-war Fletcher.

Anyway, Amazon.co.uk have the Anatomy of the Ship book for sale at £21.99 with a 4-6 week sourcing delay. However, the only second-hand examples on Amazon are at ridiculously high prices, suggesting that the book is out of print + rare?
Has anyone else had any luck ordering this book from Amazon or another online store?

The cheapest copy I can find is in Australia:

Good luck in your search!

You're correct, it's long out of print, but Amazon UK haven't caught up with that fact. They also show The Escort Carrier Gambier Bay for £13.20 with 4-6 week dispatch time. I tried ordering both ages ago and had no luck.

Your best bet for a reasonably priced copy is eBay. All the AotS volumes turn up there sooner or later, and sometimes you can get a bargain.
