The small warships SIG has a monthly newsletter called escort which has a number of articles dating back over the years on these vessels, mostly RN. If you go to the site http://www.smallwarshipsgroup.org.uk there is an index and a contact for les brown who runs it. I'm sure he will be happy to send you what is there.
