i bought the book is very impressive, lot of drawings of all the japanes battleships in 1:700 or 1:500, only fault (for me) the book is in japonese but some of the list of characteristics are also in english. they are 600 pages full of drawings. no foto.
was a good review in the site
http://www.j-aircraft.org/smf/index.php?board=5.0
but now is out but you can ask there , they are very very experts in ijn.
some example
for nagato and mutsu they ar 18 side view, 10 plan view, 6 front view, a side & plan in 1:450, 8 pages of sections and armour diagram.
they are comparison with opponent usa battleships from fuji/kearsage to yamato/iowa
they are 18 frontview in scale 1:500 and 7 in 1:300
they are detailed drawing of all the guns from the tower of 460mm to the 6.5mm mount
hope this help ciao peppe
ps somebody found some error but in six hundred pages is not impossible.

Actually, the link to that archived thread on the new IJN BB bible is here: http://www.j-aircraft.org/smf/index.php?topic=4917.0

It's a great book - no photos though, all diagrams and tables.

Dan:

Does the book contain any diagrams of the intended configuration of Shinano, or subsequent Yamato class vessels with 8 3.9" twins in place of 6 5" twins? How about the hypothetical 20" A-150 design and the B-64 super class A cruiser?

they are sketch 1:1000 of arrangement of super yamato (9-508 or 6-508) and 1:700 of super heavy cruiser (the last have plans of armour), of course not very detailed.

I might have to get the book somehow to look at the super Yamato and B-65 drawings. No drawings of the later units of Yamato class with 4 3.9" twin AA turrets on each side?

The book shows two proposals, 797 & 798, for an improved or super Yamato. 797 seems to be the basic 18" with the 3.9" added, 798 show the 3 turret/twin 20" arrangement with the 3.9" Interestingly, there is a 3.9" mount in place of the triple 6" fore and aft. THese are both simplistic drawings, along with a page of incomplete tables.

On the other hand, the drawing for the B-64/65 Super Cruiser is the most detailed I have seen.

Hmmm, a simple replacement of 5" and 6" mounts by 3.9" mounts in 798 design strikes me as being highly improbable. What about on the 797? Do the 3.9 turrets simply replace existing 5" turrets?

Friends, I have collected the information on the book on the Internet, saw separate schemes{plans}.
Very much I wish to buy{purchase} the book, but I am afraid that the book very dear{expensive} to me.
Very much I ask to lay out dear форумчан having this book to lay out дял an example of a photo (not скан) the small size of pages devoted to any one ship Russian-Japanese wars or times 1910-1917 to estimate{appreciate} how many schedules (drawings) and how many the text in the Japanese language on one ship.
Unfortunately, I understand, that the text on Japanese to me to not read through, and to buy the book when on one ship is resulted{brought} 1-2 schemes{plans} - it is necessary to think.
