HI There,
The covers of the old "The Maru Special, Japanese Naval Vessels" had some amazing paintings by a single artist. You've probably seen the ones of the Yamato many times. They're dark, moody, and utterly cool representations of ships and events.
I am desperately trying to find out what that artist's name is/was. If you've got some copies lying around of the magazine, I would be greatly appreciative if you could please look and see if there is a cover illustration credit somewhere.

Emailed some guys on Ebay selling those old magazines asking that they look for a credit. They found one, but it was in Japanese. Turns out his name is Noriyoshi Ohrai. Became a famous Japanese illustrator; even did some artwork for the movie Empire Strikes Back. I see his images used all over the net, but never credited. Well....here it is. ; )
