Just picked up a beautiful copy of
U.S. Naval Aviation, published by the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation. $25 at Barnes and Noble Booksellers store, on a bargain books table.
Great general reference, many excellent photos of aircraft and ships throughout the 20th century and modern day. Especially nice are many pre-war and WW2 naval planes, color photos, and other illustrations. Book is large-format, hardbound, with thick-padded covers and a sizeable raised emblem on the cover. Apparently it's from the same Naval Institute Press series as
The U.S. Navy: A Complete History, which I acquired a couple months ago from this same retailer.
Book price originally was $75.
