What a great tribute to his father and his service. Mr. Burke should be proud of his build of the Enterprise.

Dan, thanks for posting.

There is something very artistic about this build, and of course the inclusion of the real wood from CV-6 makes it absolutely priceless. I agree with Gordon, Mr Burke should be very proud, it is a fine tribute to his father, the entire crew and the ship.

Thanks for sharing, Dan.

Very nice...I've doubted it was possible to detail this specific model. Apparently I was wrong.

Really cool tribute to his dad, using the actual planks. Well done!

I am glad you all enjoyed this model, Mr. Burke always brings something to spark the interest to our meetings in San Diego.
A few of my favorite were a 5 seat Japanese kamikaze, as he put it, near the end of the war the Japanese had more volunteer pilots than planes, so to fix that they added more seats to their planes...... Another of my favorites was a B-17 turned into a "motor home" and this one. Since a golf ball has dimples to help it fly farther,, why not use the dimples on an aircraft?
