Here is my 1/350 Samuel B Roberts all completed. I used the ISW resin kit of the USS Johnston in the FRAM I configuration. I had to modify a couple things to make her into the Roberts but the kit included the parts I needed so it was pretty easy. I had to completely scratch build the main mast from styrene rod of different sizes and I think it turned out pretty good for my first time doing that. This was my first resin kit and I really enjoyed it. I added brass barrels to the 5 inch mounts and made the antennas from either thin brass rod or stretched sprue. The PE is what came with the kit and the rigging is Modelkasten 0.15 mm wire. I made the base using the Chris Flodberg oat method coated with modeling paste and then painted and glossed. The wake is cotton coated in gloss acrylic gel. This kit is for a friend of mine whose father served on the Roberts in 1966 when she was off Vietnam. I will be taking the kit to him and his Dad tomorrow. I really enjoyed this build and hope to build more resin kits in the future. The kit was very good with nice detail, minimal flash, and good fit. Thanks for looking. Mike.
