Ran into a problem on the main mast. It bowed under the local rigging even though I reinforced it. The fore mast did not bow at all thankfully. So I cut it off just above the upper platform and sectioned in a piece of brass rod ending just below the cross supports. I drilled a pilot hole on the upper platform and erected a jig to put the mast back up. The thing looks straight to me!

The fix looks really good, Joe. However, it may be the angle of the last photo but, is the foremast canting to starboard?

It looks like it in the picture but not when I look at it on the table. I'll take a closer look. Sometimes the camera brings out hidden flaws that aren't apparent from the eye (which is good from a judge standpoint). I'll also photograph it without holding the camera at an angle and with a white background. The rear view doesn't show it at all. I did not post that shot because it was slightly blurry. I can still adjust it if it's a problem.

Hoisted the crane, and completed most local rigging to the aft super structure. That part and the main gun director are test fitted only:

Added binoculars, searchlights, various ladders and radars to the upper level of the superstructure. Also added tracks and ammo lockers to aircraft handling deck.
