Joe,

Love your work. I have a Mono Chrome Akizuki that would pop with new strips. I planned to attach them pre-painting then scrape off the paint once I was done. Thoughts?

Thank you all for your kind comments. Chris, I would paint the deck first and then put in the brass strips

Are the brass strips part of the Hasegawa PE set? Does the future mess up acrylics if I tried to do the same spthing? Looks great so far.

Thank you. The brass strips are from Flyhawk set FH350009. The future will not mess up your acrylic, just make sure it is cured well before applying the future. Hope this helps.

Your patience to work with those tie-down strip is impressive. Remind me, whose strips are you using?

That's incredible, Joe. Just thin CA? I'll reiterate what Dan said: the patience is impressive.

Once again thank you! Main superstructure work. I messed up some of the molded-on tread plate detail. The problem arises while trying to fill seems around the plastic parts. So I simply sanded it all off, cut out some aluminum foil patches and pressed them onto some existing tread plate I had. I like the result. Tread plate restored and no seems.

It has been awhile since I've posted. I diverted to a smaller project, the 1/350 I-27 from AFV Club. I wanted to have it for Columbus. Back to Yahagi now. Here are some shots of the I-27:
