My first 1:350th ship build is from my favourate class of ships, and photographed as below. She took some time and quite a bit of research to get colours and details correct, but I enjoyed building her and am pleased with the results. Have previously built some 1:700 ships and played around with photo etch, but this is my first serious ship building project. The photography isn't good and doesn't do her justice really so will need to work on that in the future. Any thoughts or comments welcome.

Very nice work! Hope my Missouri comes out looking half that good. Congratuations on a job well done. She looks like she could steam right off the screen.

Love the rigging, the blue works very well with the lighter grey (bluish), is the ship slightly riding high out of the sea, the back section seems high (probably not just seems high)

Thanks for the kind comments, much appreciated.

For future I think I need to work on photography and lighting techniques as much as anything, which can really help show a model to its best. She has 50 crew (L'Arsenal) visible on the decks and a couple of dolphins in the wake but they don't show up well in the photos. Paints were LifeColor from their US Navy sets 1 and 2, which I would recommend; they are nice to use for both airbrushing and paintbrushing on, with good consistancy and coverage.

She hasn't been out much, just took the finished item to the Huddersfield show this year and won best in class (but not out of many), hasn't been to Telford yet but may see about bringing her this November.
