Well after watching this build and following its progress and now its conclusion.

All I can say is well done and a truly excellent ship you have built there Nicholas.

The pictures tell it all.

This is a phenomenally crisp build. Everything is so much to-scale that even close-up shots give the impression of a much bigger model. It is amazing to see what craftsmanship can extract from the not-so-promising starting point of a very average model by Trumpeter.

Bravo Nicolas, c'est du très bon boulot !

Michael,
don't forget that Nicolas is building Richelieu in other pattern again... and as she looks like, minimum same masterpiece as result can be expected :-)

Nicolas,

There are not enough superlatives to describe this! Amazing attention to detail, and perfect execution! The scratch built enhancements you made are wonderful, and looking over the model, every little bit looks like it was designed to be there. A ship you should be very proud of!

thank you to all !!!
your kind words make me pleasure ,really ! I'm really glad to have share with you this mounting, especially since it was my first real "big project", I am just a little bit "proud" to have held the distance (two years is a long time) ,but I'm still a rookie compared to some who "work" here :-)
best regards
Nicolas

I'd expect a model of this quality to be about about two scales larger and in a museum. Your build is beyond impressive. Thank you for being an inspiration!

A great thank you ,happy you enjoyed that jewel of our "Royale" :-) it is regrettable that France does not have the spirit of conservation ,as in the UK and the USA (among other)!!
We have sent the last two representative (Richelieu and Jean Bart) under the cutting torches!!!!!
its very regrettable but "c'est la vie "!
cheers
Nicolas
