I get such great tips and information from this site, I thought I would share.
these are my 2 latest, the carriers Hiryu and Kaga (1/700 fujimi)(thank you HobbySearch Japan)
the build is pretty much OOB because I'm still in the dark about PE and very hesitant. paint is all done by hand with tamiya acrylics as airbrush is frankly out of my budget at the moment. rigging is "stretched sprue" which I've been practicing.
I know I've gotten details wrong and I welcome comments and critique and suggestions of course. very nervous about posting as I haven't really interacted on here.
thank you all for your invaluable tips and than you to the mods and those who run this site.

The link worked for me. Nice job, really. It speaks to both the crispness of the molding as well as your handbrush technique that the paint job came out so well. When you can finally afford one, an airbrush will only heighten the finish. Hiryu's rigging isn't bad, either.

They look very good, ditto what Dan said about the handbrushing, especially since it is Tamiya and not the easiest to brush well.

Next, get some p/e and start working with it. p/e will take your models to another level!
You will develope your own technique as you work with it.

Top drawer! do you use Optivisor for painting those fiddly planes or do you squint to achieve perfection?
