Here is my completed model. It took me about 5 weeks to assemble, and I added just a bit more than came with the kit, so it's probably 900 pieces all together. Sorry for the duplicate post of this model, but I can't delete the first one, and I should have posted here instead.

Very nice! How did you find the fit of the kit? I played with the hull and deck fit briefly and found it to be really off?

Matt

Most things fit pretty good. The area around the port side 5" guns was a bit off and I had to put some filler there, but otherwise I was happy. A few things didn't quite match up or work right, like main turret 3, with the catapult on it could not rotate properly until I removed the floater baskets and railing on the upper to deck forward of it. I can never quite get the tripod legs to match perfectly.

Since the pictures were taken I re-rigged the lines (signal halyards, etc.) as the picture on the box was a bit puzzling, but looking at on-line pictures helped.

Instead of stretched sprues I use "FINE EZ Line" I got from the hobby shop. And I used "Micro Crystal Clear" white glue a lot with the lines and brass pieces, as somehow I just don't do so well with the cyanoacrylate gel, thought I use it sometimes, too. I added two "whip antennae" to the rear tower, and some horizontal "yard arms" for the rigging, to match what I saw on line.

Also the brass PE railing supplied for the main deck was just barely (within 1/8") enough. So be careful with that, or you will run short.
