Mark,

Once again, OUTSTANDING!!! This is really nice - quite the details, paint scheme, and extras - I'll be referencing this once I start back on my PA next year.

Wonderful finish Mark...She looks mean. You surely hit the home run with Her.
I must agree with Jeff Sharps comment on the "most accurate".
Love the B&W pics, brings it to life! Now I need to get crackin on mine

Question for you.....who's Carly floats and Anchors did you use?

Hi Mark,

Congratulations on your commitment to historical accuracy and your perseverance in completing the model under some trying circumstances. Your modeling skills, attention to detail, and effective use of aftermarket parts are all very evident in the finished product.

Bravo,

Chuck

Mark,

She looks fabulous! Those early morning pictures are stunning, one good reason to live in Arizona is for the sunrise/sunsets.

I'll have to stop by and see her sometime in the future!

Thanks Mark for your comments. The floats came from https://www.shapeways.com/search?q=hawk ... e-products If you scroll through his site you will find them. I got two different sizes. They are a tad small but look good.

HI Nelson, thanks for your comments. Yes the a.m. sun is nice, I just need to somehow block out the clutter. Yes, the next time you are in Mesa, give me a call, you are always welcome.

A beautiful model, Mark. This is a work of art that you can be proud of. Thanks for taking the time to share it's build with us.

I do have a question though. How did you make your fire hoses and the connections to the piping. I have the 1:200 Trumpeter USS Missouri and I want to add more detail to the fire hoses like you did. If I may impose, could you take a minute and tell me what you did to make these so realistic?

Thanks, Mark.

Hi Larry:

The fire hoses are molded into the bulkheads and as such they are incorrect for the Pennsylvania/Arizona. I was going to do something different, but left them as is as I didn't want to risk ruining anything. I lightly brush painted them white, that's it.

Thanks for checking out my model and your comments.

Magnificent! My uncle was aboard the Pennsylvania on 7 December. He was an Aviation Machinist's Mate with the float plane division. I've been contemplating a similar build since Trumpter released the Arizona.

Thanks Dan K and IJN for having a look see. IJN: There are a lot of differences between the sisters. The Model Monkey 3D printed parts is just a jump off point for the conversion. I have the build log here and if you decide to do it, you may find it helpful.
