Can you tell me what you plan to use for a rigging diagram? I haven't found one yet that's worth a Tinker's Damn.

Since I'm not super experienced in rigging, I won't go super crazy...that being said, I plan to use multiple resources:

The instructions sheet provided from Tamiya (very basic).
Pictures from Navsource.
Pictures from Robert Summerall's book on the Iowa Class.

Must be "share your Missouri build" day since Koppalakki posted his earlier today!

Well, I worked on the rigging, painted the Seahawk planes and added the railings on the side of the ship. I would have gotten things all done but a minor emergency came about and thus, lost one night of detail work that I needed to get done.

The rigging is pretty basic, I didn't want to go overboard with it. I used Infini Models Black Lycra Rigging. It's pretty stretchy, so I was quite nervous about it, but it seemed to go on pretty easy. The only challenges I had was making the Lycra stay where I wanted to glue it at. The rigging took me about a week to finish (given I only work on the model maybe 1 hour a day).

I still have some minor detail work to do, like glue the 5 inch guns, add the "63" to the bow and some minor touch up and then off to the local modeling show tomorrow.

Feedback is greatly appreciated!

After working on the Missouri since the winter of 2014 (started sharing it on the forum in 2017), I am proud to say that I’m done with this project. I know the original goal was to make this as accurate as possible, but I realized, the more I worked on it, the harder it became to make it look accurate and it was ruining the first rule of this hobby, to have fun!

There was a lot of firsts for me while working on the Missouri. First time installing metal barrels (tiny ones too), using 3D printed parts (supplied by Model Monkey), using putty, rigging, cutting pieces out, and with the encouragement of my wife, submitted it to a local modeling show, in which it finished 3rd in its class.

What I learned from this build will be applied to my next project. Also, trying out new techniques used by other members on this board. I got myself an airbrush system so that will be a whole new challenge!

The Missouri now sits in a display case (Grandpa’s Cabinets), because to me, it’s a work of art, plus I hate dusting model ships.

Mr. Moderator, please move this to the completed build section.

Now, on to the next project...The USS...

Very nice!! You have done a spectacular job on this and you should be extremely proud of your accomplishment. Building and detailing a big battleship is a monumental task in any scale and the fact that you placed 3rd is a testament to your abilities. I especially am impressed by not only your attention to detail, but your paint job as well.

Great work!
