I used the Trumpeter North Carolina 1944 kit to build her sister ship USS Washington in 1944. From research gleaned from what other members told me and from the CASF thread, etc., I found out that the only major structural difference between the two sisters at the time was the addition of another observation deck to the superstructure, represented by part A-24, which I omitted.

I used Modelmaster paints of Navy Blue, Deck Blue and Haze Grey to recreate the ship's MS22 camouflage. The only aftermarket I used was a wooden deck which I repainted in in Deck Blue so this kit was mostly made "out of the box".

Oh my, for the love of Kek, please crop your images before posting!

I normally wouldn't criticize someone for this kind of thing, but seriously, it is a pretty big issue this time around. Only someone running a 4K setup would be able to comfortably view your photos.

In this case, a resize (whether on the file side or the display code side) would be more appropriate, as some of the images already have the ship spanning the full width of the image so cropping would cut into the ship.

But more importantly, better lighting would dramatically improve what we can see. The camera seems to be pushing the upper limits of its ISO range, resulting iin significant noise that makes it hard to see the details. Better lighting would allow the camera to select a lower ISO, retaining better details for the same (or better) shutter speed.
