Very nice suble weathering - good job. Looking forward to see it on diorama!

I like the model too. Very nice work!

Super built model!

The yellow markings... don't these indicate that the boat is assigned to crew training duties? That gives direction to the diorama options and storyline! No operational mid-Atlantic attacks or all of that, but better a busy scene with sailors training their buts off and making all sorts of mistakes...

the steps I've made until now to make the marine diorama:

I made the plexiglas box:

I placed the U-Boot:

Then I filled the box with 3 thin layers (approx 1,5 cm - 0,5 ft) of epossidic resin, colored with a bit of marine blu.
Thin layer is necessary to avoid excessive heating:
