Thanks to all your praise and comments!

The upgrade set is really nice, it provided almost everything I needed as mentioned above. The 3D printed parts resin is a bit fragile as usual, you need to be carefull when handling those parts, especially those exquisite 25mm barrels, but there are plenty spare provided. The PE sheets again provide more than you need, especially for a 1942 build of course, and include even ropes to be placed on the deck etc. The brass is thinner (I guess 0.15mm) than e.g. sets provided by Fujimi or others, but that´s great as those parts are much more to scale. Nothing for a PE beginner though, but I guess only really sado-masochistic beginner would decide to try this set anyway

As for the Hasegawa kit, you actually don´t need much more than the hull, some lower bridge parts and boats. Everything else is provided by Shelf Oddity in a much finer detail.

Is there anything special you´d like to know?

They used to publish "Navy Yard", "Model Grafics" i.e.1/700 related modelships magazines in the homeland. A staff in my acquaintance & friend also works for co-editing work of the Model Art co. They are namely about to publish a special(?) edition, november, this year. In a tight shcedule affeced by the pandemic.though.

Any insight into work behind the tastefully made plaques for the stands?
Sorry for overseeing/misunderstanding your question - I checked the forum only briefly while being on vacations. It´s actually very simple (but less easily repeatable) - I´ve had some room left on the sheet when ordering my first photo etching trial, so I used it for these plagues for my current collection and some planned future builds. I then sprayed them with a thin layer of black paint and carefully sanded the paint off the embossed frame and letters. Finally a sprayed them with a gloss coat from a rattle can. I am glad you like them!
