I decided to practice my weathering and scratch building skills - but ended up with something I can call a stand alone little vignette - a salvaged turret, 1/700 scale.

This was a left over part from my Hood build - as I used 3D printed parts I had unused turrets from the Trumpeter.

I came aross an image of Mutsu's salvaged turret. It looked pretty crazy, with all the rough textures, burn marks, and so forth. So I figured Ill build something similar.

Not historical but a cool little project nonetheless, completed in one day. Lower parts of the turret are build using foil. Various piping etc is made from left over PE and sprues.
