Just finished my first 1:350 plastic model - 1908 Schleswig-Holstein.
Also first ever model finished with acrylics so basics only - will try weathering, washes and other advanced techniques with the next one.
Model built basically OOB - I added home made, printed paper deck sticker and replaced top parts of the masts with metal rods. Some basic enhancements for the ship boats in the form of printed benches.

Nice work, beautiful paint job. Inspires me to try painting wood decks again!

Roman1,

That is excellent work. Love your rigging. That must have taken awhile. Very Nice Work on everything. That's a great idea for the deck using printed paper instead of the rather expensive After-Market product.

I have downloaded your photos to use as examples for when I do mine. Flattery intended!

One thought...On your next one, go with a dark gray for the boot line in place of black.

Nino

Thanks for the kind words gentleman.
Some observations about the model:
- main armament, if built as is, will not allow for barrels to elevate. Some light sanding here and there will fix this.
- 4 light guns on shelter deck without shields, if mounted as they are, will seat too high, imho.
I cut them down 1mm to look better.
- Don't know if this is correct or not, but ship boats (other than steam cutters) look strange - too shallow, kind of half pistachios shells. And they are very plain - I would expect better in this scale.
- Paper deck was an experiment but it worked just fine. Contact cement was used to fix it to the model. The main challenge was to keep it clean as this glue can be messy.
- Rigging was done with 8/0 UNI-Thread.
