Some photos of my recently completed USS Keokuk. This is the old Verlinden kit, in 1/200 scale. Simple and with few parts, it was mostly an exercise in painting. More photos and a bit of description on the build process are on my website here:

Nice work Devin. As you say it is somewhat simple to assemble just needs good painting. You did that and You did Fantastic on the ships boats and I like the added crewman on deck; nice idea.

Verlindin made good models of many of the Civil War Ironclads. I was sorry to see the USA site disappear. Their Competitor, Flagship, has the market of 1/200ish scale of Ironclads all to themselves now. Amazing how quick prices rose.

P.S. I have Verlinden's and Flagship's Keokuk Ironclad. I tend to favor Full Hull models so my Flagship kit will be built first. I have to do some serious sanding to mate the upper and lower hulls though. It seems this is pretty consistent with Flagship as far as getting the lower hull to line up properly.
