This is my 1:700 Barham which has been under construction for over four years.
A detailed account of the building process can be found here viewtopic.php?f=59&t=163972
It is based on WEM's resin kit with a lot of photoetch and 3D printed detail added and depicts the ship just minutes before being hit by that fateful salvo of torpedoes fired from U-331. The ships is affixed to a temporary stand and will share a common seascape with HMS Valiant.

lovely crisp photos, complimenting an already very splendid model!

As I said before-the images belie that its a 1/700 scale model

it looks .... bigger!
Well done !

Gentlemen, thank you for your kind words!
EJ, in many instances I relied on the wealth of information found on your webpage and want to thank you for this as well.
A am a great admirer of your unbelievable build of HMS Hood which makes most other models look like toys!
Jim, a big thank you for the continuous support and encouragement beginning with supplying me with the very kit I have used for this project. I am always delighted to learn about your ingenious solutions in modelmaking which result in some of the finest and most realistic representations of ships ever made!

Congratulations for persevering and getting her done. It's a magnificent build, with sublime details. This is THE definitive 1/700 Barham build!

fantastic build, and as Jim said earlier, it really looks like a heavy solid object, which is a huge deal in this scale especially. Love the way it is painted.

Dan, Martin, pascalemod, Mr. Church,
many thanks for your words of praise! Now I really feel that the many long hours spent collecting data, looking at old photographs, cutting glueing, sanding, airbrushing, painting tiny details, weathering, etc. have paid off.
It is a very pleasant feeling.

I can only echo the others: simply fantastic! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:
The build was a pleasure and very educational to follow, and it is great to now see all that detail in better photo's. Thanks!

I hope that the situation with the pandemic will improve and that I will be able to see it live someday. Moson 2021? :wave_1:

Marijn, thank you very much! This was a minor project compared to the wonderful diorama what you are currently working on!
Milan, thanks a lot! I also hope that we can meet at the Mosonshow, but frankly, regarding the development of the pandemic situation it does not seem very likely :(
