Hi guys! This is my recently finished IJN Aoba, wich I had on the bench like 4 years... :doh_1: Had to re-made some parts after a couple domestic accidents.... But turned out OK, mostly. Saddly a couple of mistakes where made over the process and couldn't be able to buy some PE for some details as for the actual situation....
Speaking of PE, it has a lot from like Rainbow, Flyhawk, Tom's, Five Star, MK1, Aber and others.... Maybe some day I'll build another with the Rainbow dedicated set. Well, hope you like the final result anyway :cool_1:

Looks great! I've got and Aoba in my stash waiting for the right time to build.

What did you use for the ropes and secures on the motor boats?

Used stretched sprue for the crane, bridge signal cables and boat davits. EZ-Line for general rigging, and very fine paper for the boats. It wasen't available by the time when started building the ship, but I recommend if you have the chance, get the Rainbow Models Aoba set, looks totally great for the ship.
