Missing the secong missile launcher while I figure out how to make some terrier missiles to go on it. The kit option is a small PE nightmare....
It's mostly OOB except for the main mast that was too warped too recover and the fairleads that were replaced from a stock PE set.

Nice! That looks sharp. Not a fan of many post-WW2 ships, but this is one of them.

'Richard P'.... I Truly Love your USS BOSTON CAG-1!!!

When I saw the title on the 'Completed Work', of a 50-60's early missile cruiser and CAG-1 ... well I HAD to take a look and was Very Impressed with the work you did, the detail you placed, from the signal flag lines - radar sets - even the rope/line stowage bags above the motor whale boat!!!

But my question is.... what are some cons and pros in getting this kit?? I am curious, because I purchased and built the Niko brand USS GALVESTON ( also on the 'Completed Work' side) and was Very Pleased on how the kit came together!

Cons: The Talos launcher was mis-shappen on the main body ( not the arms ) of the launcher, as the bulge was on the Lower End of the launcher and not on Top where the arms connect / not enough railings ( a minor-minor inconvenience ) / resin kits are tough to place certain superstructure parts w/o "holes & pins" like on plastic models ( I'm new to resin kits .... but I think I gave CLG-3 justice!! ) / not a full hull ( I'm a full hull guy )

Pros: A Clean Kit / MUCH Detail ... in the mold of the ship to their Superior PE / nice bridge windows ( wasn't expecting that on this kit [kinda wished I detailed the nav & admiral bridge] ) / cost.

I look forward to your discussion.

M. Mares
