Another model has been added to my IJN Amagi and IJN Shoho aircraft carrier models. This time it is the light cruiser IJN Katori from 1941.
Scale 1:700, Aoshima kit with etchings of own design.
Construction procedure is here: https://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=175&t=118944

Wow, spectacular!
I love it when 1/700 models look like they are much bigger, and this one certainly does. Beautiful! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

I also love that you did a seascape this time ;)
The boat and floatplane tell a nice little story.

I was thinking the same thing looking at the photos.

Excellent work - everything is first rate and very crisp.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the model.

I made the mat as a sea surface for the first time.
It was preceded by a lot of experimentation with different techniques and inspiration on the web ... such as your diorama with Amagi. I have plans for other models that will also be on the surface of the water, so I'll try to make it even better there. :thumbs_up_1:

Thank you for the words of appreciation George.
I hope to be able to meet you in Mosonmagyarovar in 2022.
I am also curious about your HMS Valiant and the Trafalgar diorama by Marijn. :woo_hoo:
I follow both of these works and find them amazing and inspiring.
