Congrats on this complicated and very ingeniously executed diorama.
It turned out really spectacular!

How was the kit? The result is great!

I have the kit but not sure if I want to yet attempt it - looks very daunting with PE (5star).

Thanks for the appreciation. The kit is great. The details are fine and there was no problem with the fitting, except one thing. It's practical to put part G2 into its place in the barbette and then put the gunhouses, parts F1 and F2, into it. Because part G2 clogs in the barbette and once you placed the guns you can not change their directions.
Try to get some generic IJN PE set, because you are right. Unfortunately the PE is daunting. The details are fine, but the parts are fragile and there are no spare parts in the set. If you take a closer look at the foremast you will see six braces under the reflector platform. But you can see only four on the main mast, altough there should be also six. I broke one when removed it from the fret and the other one when I put it into its place.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! I have the Kongo and Haruna in 1915 set (kongo luckily in fully hull). Let's see how this goes when I get to this part of the model cellar, as the Haruna kit is already aging there nicely. :)
