Brad--your model is FAAAAaaar to big for my liking...-I like my battleships about 8-13 inches long.....

BUT...

hats off to quality when I see it--really really sharp looking model!

Best wishes

Jim Baumann :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Jim,
She IS awfull big... But my wife is REALLY good about helping me get it out of our basement- I'm hoping to take it to a local RC show in Toledo OH around the first of april- I'm sure I'll feel the pain then.

still trying to sort out the picture thing- these are of the SK-2 radar that I built up last night, trying to figure out how to apply the mesh to the inside... any suggestions anyone?

THanks
Brad

Dave,

Alot of the credit for that goes to my "girls" they did most of the solder work on it- But to answer your question- it's etched- I bought it from Tom's modelworks.

BTW I really love that build of yours- love the brasswork!
Brad

Hi Brad thanks for your kind comments. If I had the room and the transport I would have built Kiev at 1:96 . Incidently what is your power train . I built Tirpitz at 1:96 many years ago and used three 9.2v Pittman motors. I recon they were the best motors I've ever used in a scale model. :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :wave_1:

Photobucket tends to have downtimes occasionally, so if you can't see them now, come back at another time.

Heres one of the seahawk airplanes- These are from John Haynes- I modified them by casting the canopies in clear:

and finally, one of the stern area- It too- is mostly done, just finished up the railings, and they just need to be painted.

Best regards
