This is my 1/700 diorama of the USS Tigerfish, the fictional Skate class nuclear sub that was featured in the movie Ice Station Zebra. More pictures and a discussion of the construction of the model can be found here: http://picasaweb.google.com/sfscalemodels/USSTigerfish#

Dan, Great diorama there.
I saw the move way back when and all I remember about it was the scenes ( the suspense) of the migs headed their way at a fast clip.

Thanks, Gordon. I'm glad you liked the Tigerfish. I remember the Migs, too. They were very nice models, as were the Soviet transports. There was a lot of good model work in that movie.

I can still remember watching that movie as a little kid and loving every minute of it. Great sub and treatment of the ice. Thanks for bring back some memories. I can hear the ice sonar pinging away :thumbs_up_1:

Thanks, Cliffy. The movie is a favorite of mine, too. It had everything I liked; submarines, aircraft and a decent thriller plot supported by fine actors. I still enjoy seeing it.
