Hello my friends,
I present you my model from RYOEI MARU scale 1/700. I got the idea when I was building SHIMANE MARU model. It was based on Type 1 TL Standard Merchant tanker. RYOEI MARU model is 100% scratch build. I have it built according to the plan by Tashiro Iwashige from the volume - The visual guide of IJN wartime merchant ships. I also had 2 good photos of a 1TL type for reconstruction.
Enjoy ...specialy to Dan K

Simply beautiful, Frank!

I have planning a similar build, but to use the hull of the Aoshima Hayasui kit, which is also a 1TL conversion.

I also have that Visual Guide, and it's a fantastic reference.

Beautiful work. Color palette REALLY ties it together.

Well done!
