pascalemod, thank you for your kind remarks!
I have been building ship models for decades, but I only ever made a seascape five times (this one included).
Formerly I was not particularly interested, then I was afraid that the quality of the surrounding water will detract from the value of my otherwise quite acceptable models.
My previous attempts were so-so at best, especially the Scapa Flow diorama where the realisation of the seascape is clearly inferior to the finely executed battlecruisers.
This time I really wanted to get it right not least because the time and effort invested in the construction of the three ships featured. I studied tutorials of some of the best seascapes I could find.
Even so it was hard to finish it on time for the show I wanted to attend.
This one is easily my best effort and I am quite satisfied with how it turned out although, as always, there is room for improvement.

I had the opportunity/honour to see this diorama in the flesh. Every time you looked at it there was something new and intricate to see. This diorama won a well deserved gold in the Moson competition.

It was great to be able to have a chat with you and the guys at the show. I will surely attend again next year.

Jim (Baumann), many thanks for the interest and praise!
In the years (and indeed even before) we've known each other I learned a lot and got much help from you.
Thanks again for this, too.
I hope we can meet again this fall at Telford.
