Hi all

This is my latest build, Portuguese Navy Gunboat Macau as it was in 1927. The scene is set in Macaus's Inner Harbour.
The model is from Captain Rabbit Models kit CRM004 (a PE sheet, one plastic part, one resin part), highly modified to represent the vessel as it looked in 1927.
The Junk boat is from Rainbow set "Asian Fishing Boats", a little bit enhanced from the kit, and the sampan is from "Asian Wooden Sailing Vessels (I)" by Five Star.
Ten figurines crew both vessels, all from ION models, painted accordingly.

The aft cable/antaenas spacer curled since I finished the model, so a little surgery needs to be done, before it rests in the ship model cabinet!
Cheers,
Rui

This looks really amazing. I love all the little touches like the painted window frames and the smoke stains on the canvas roof.

Beautiful work. I have a soft spot for gunboats.

Very nicely done. Great detailing for such a small kit. Very challenging.

Thank you very much Devin and Dan K!

Dan, yes, it was a real challenge, only because I tried to put as many details as I could.

Cheers,
Rui

Outstanding Ruy! The Macau is a tiny-little masterpiece. I love the junk, the muddy seascape is awesome :cool_2:

This is very nice small scale model work. And nice to see someone using the Asian Fishing boats set, I have two of those living in my stash somewhere.

Hi Pieter, sorry for the late reply!

Thank you and yes, these junk-boats are nice and with a little extra work they turn out a good "companion" or even in a stand alone situation.

Cheers,
Rui

Cool little build. Little being the operative word!

Thank you Martin and "seaforce"!

Indeed this is the smallest ship currently finished in my cabinet!
Just for reference here's a photo of it with 1 euro cent coin (slightly smaller than 1 cent US$ coin)
and the base is 13 x 9 cm long.

Again thank you for your feedback!
Cheers,
Rui
