This my build of the Kombrig Jeanne d'Arc, a French armored cruiser from 1901. The kit is a gem, a good example of the high standard that Kombrig has achieved the last years. The casting is flawless, the PE fret is sharp en detailed and the whole kit comes together like clockwork, capturing the unique and elegant French architecture of the era like a period photograph.
Some details were left out, hardly noticable, except the small-calibre guns. They were extremely fiddly, resting on six PE legs, with seperate PE shoulder guards (at least, that's what I think they were, the crescent-shaped protrusions at the rear of the guns). I managed to destroy half of the guns during assembly and after that didn't bother to test my nerves on the other ones.
Railings are not supplied, but I used L'Arsenal railings, which were of very resilient steel and the stanchion distance actually matched the dimensions of the ship very well and that helps to make it look very sharp (IMHO). Small details need to be adressed still, but I've officially commissioned her into the Fleet.

Looks great! Very crisp and clean. I've never been a huge fan of these early 20th century ships, but a few of the builds on here (this one included) are changing my mind.
Bravo :thumbs_up_1:

Right. Revell Reddish-brown # 100. Someone showed images of the model in the Musee de la Marine in Paris here, i took that color scheme. The kit gives none.
