This is Loose Cannon's USS Colorado BB-45 in 700th scale. The hull had to be cleaned up a bit and the turrets needed a bit of putty, but it was a pretty nice kit out of the box. The PE provided in the kit is very good and the instructions were fairly complete. I wanted to paint her up in MS-1 but I found that the Dark Gray 5-D paint is a little dark for the vertical surfaces, so I used gunship gray instead and I liked the way that turned out. I used the 5D for the non wood decks and 5L for the upper works.

Thanks for all of the nice comments. :wave_1:

That is what kept me from starting this project for a long time. I just rolled them around a small pencil and lined up the edges. I did not have to run a bead of glue down the seam at all. The base glue held everything in place. It turned out that they were the easiest part of the model. I am going to do the Tennessee next. :woo_hoo:

Do you plan on rigging her? Unless I just can't see it.

I normally don't do rigging but I thought about it for this one. I have never been able to pull that off sucessfully.
