 Post subject: Academy 1/350 Bismarck
PostPosted: Sun Feb 01, 2009 10:47 am
About a month ago, I posted some pics of my Roman warship. At the time, my next project was going to be an Academy Bismarck kit that I had bought when I was in college and recently rediscovered when my wife and I visited my parents' for Christmas. Four weeks later, and with the help of my two toddlers, it is complete. I probably should have spent more time on some of the finer details, but I wanted to get it done to display for my school's open house next week. No photoetch or aftermarket--the kids eat up all extra money for such luxuries, but I did use stretched sprue for the rigging and crane cables. Next up... I'm saving my allowance to pick up Revell Germany's 1/72 U-Boat.

Clean and crisp built, thanks for posting.

Understand you fully about children - same with me but I try pick good times to buy some extras. This is one of very few good things of getting older - no expenses on children and a little extra cash for the hobby and all other pursuits.

Keep up the good work.

Yevgeniy
