I received a few requests to post pictures of my latest build - the Admiralty Model Works HMS Glorious - 1918. So, here you go...

Much credit must be given to David Griffith. I purchased his book and used his many of his techniques for my build. David's techniques certainly sharpened my skills a bit and made for a cleaner build than I have previously done. It gave the needed boost to my skills to do justice to this magnificently crafted kit by Pavel at Admiralty Model Works. Thank you David for publishing this fantastic book!

Nice work, Jon. I added the [img] tags to your images.

What did you use for rigging? Very crisp and thin.

Thank you for your kind words. I used Uni-Caenis .002 for the rigging and .001 monofilament wires for the X supports on the aircraft. It's so thin it cannot be seen in the pictures.

Beautiful work. Love the Camels on the flying-off platforms!

Very nice model Jon. I too was interested in your rigging so I googled 'Uni-Caenis' and got the site. Fly fishing line, either black or white, E1,49 a roll. Great, so I joined and ordered a roll of each, checkout E2,98 - fantastic, finally some beautifully fine line to rig my models!

Err, shipping cost, E89,90, no other way.

Looks like I'm stuck with E-zy Line or stretched sprue  .

But anyway, excellent Glorious, thanks for that.
