Hello,

Since the beginning of January 2018, we have been building up a new website entitled “Naval Technology and Life on board” based on our photographic and document archive. We have tried to do something different and instead of presenting ships by class or by nation, we have chosen to illustrate selected themes with photographs taken from the different Navies – notably but not exclusively, the Royal Navy, the Marine Nationale, the Imperial German Navy, the Kriegsmarine and the United States Navy. New chapters are added – the photograph archive runs to several tens of thousands of images – and existing chapters are updated with new photographs. This week we added a chapter entitled "The Raids on Zeebrugge and Ostend, April 1918" in anticipation of the 100th anniversary of the ill-fated attacks on 21st/22nd April, 1918.

Have a look: www.navtechlife.com

Kind regards

Hello,

I have just uploaded eight new photographs to the chapter "Naval Aviation" on the website www.navtechlife.com

There is the Breguet 521 Bizerte flying boat with its 35m wingspan, the Saunders-Roe jet-propelled seaplane fighter from 1946 and a biplane being launched from a US Navy submarine !

All the best,

John

Who is 'we' ? And where do the pictures come from ? There doesn't seem to be an impressum on the Web-site ...
